Knots & Invariants
An introduction to the mathematical study of knots and the invariants used to distinguish them.
This talk introduces knots as mathematical objects and asks how one can tell two knots apart. It moves from diagrams and Reidemeister moves toward the idea of an invariant, using accessible examples for a Math Club audience.
